Here are some photos from last weekend’s Style-A-Thon 2013 at Writerz Blok. Thank you to Ironlak for flying out Jurne as our special guest and for supplying paint and some goodies for the participating artists! The DJ’s, MC’s, and B-Boys did their thing throughout the day and kept the crowd entertained while the artists worked on their pieces. Overall, it was a great event and we’re glad to be able to enjoy the day and produce new works with great friends and artists. Once again, a very special thank you goes out to Jurne and Ironlak for helping to arrange for his trip out on short notice!
So after a non-eventful Saturday night (we were beat), we were picked up on Sunday morning, taken to get breakfast, and then dropped back off at the wall. We were burning through cans like nobodies business so we had to grab a few more cans from the shop in order to finish. The weather again, started off great, however it did warm up quite a bit in the afternoon but not enough to be an issue. Zone had to catch an earlier flight back to San Diego so we wished him safe travels and proceeded to put the finishing touches on the production. WST would again like to thank Beks, Solar, Hazer, Dope, and the rest of the staff at Get Use 2 It for the tremendous hospitality. Overall, it was an great experience and we had an amazing weekend… and made some great new friends in the process.
Until next time Texas!
Here are some photos from Savor The Daze event on 11/16/2103 in Corpus Christi, Texas. WST members Izze, Zone, and Sake were called upon to make the journey. We arrived Friday night and scoped out the wall, ate some local fare, and chilled with the locals as we watched TLok work on his piece for the event. Saturday morning, we were treated to breakfast from a local Mexican food establishment (potato tacos anyone?) and headed to the wall. After we filled out bellies we went straight to work. Zone pretty much knocked out his piece first as usual. Sake added a character and a Large WST at the end of his piece which he will finish today. And I’m pulling up the rear still needing to do clean up and background work on mine today. A huge thank you to Beks, Solar and the entire staff at Get Use 2 It for bringing us out and for the tremendous hospitality!
