Here are some photos of a recent trip to Phoenix, AZ by Spic ADD, Arest 150 and IzzeWST for the annual Paint PHX event. We weren’t invited as part of the official event but with some help from our friends we managed to line up enough spots for the weekend to keep us more than busy enough. Big thank you to the crew at Just Blaze, and the homies Lokey, and Strike for help with procuring up spots on which to rock.
We will be shipping packages all the way up through the 24th but you should keep USPS shipping deadlines in mind if you are ordering gifts for Christmas. The cutoff for Priority Mail shipments to many locations is Dec. 21, however, if you live in California or southwest area of the country there’s a good chance you’d still receive a package shipped on Dec 22nd.
New Zone 1 Snapback Caps now available in the online store. This one features one of our classic Wild Style Technicians logo by Zone 1 circa 1998! Available on Solid Black, 2 Toned Black & Grey, and Camo adjustable Snap Back Caps!
We’re holding a coloring page contest to end off 2014, and to start off 2015 with a little fun. You can find the outline to color at the top of this page. Click on the image to open the image, then download the hi resolution version to your computer. Then print and get to work coloring! And most importantly, have fun. Feel free to print and color one or two even if you don’t decide to enter the contest. Here are the rules:
Contest for US Territories and Canada Only
Print the attached original Wild Style Burner outline and color it with your freshest color combos and fill in designs. It’s really up to you how far you take it. Feel free to add a background, a theme, and or characters if you choose. Whatever you think it will take to burn the next contender. Minor modifications to the outline are acceptable but we prefer you don’t change it up so much that you lose the lettering. Any art medium is acceptable other than digital. So no photoshop or other illustration software please, we wanna see some great work on paper not the computer! I’ll be judging this one along with some input from a few of my closest confidants.
To Enter: Post your image on Instagram and mention @izzewst and add the following hashtag your post #wstcoloringcontest #wildstyletechnicians If your account is set to private we won’t be able to view your entry so public profiles only.
Contest ends at the end of the day (Midnight Pacific Standard Time) on 1/02/15. So to be clear, you have the until midnight West Coast Time on New Years day to complete the page. Winners will be announced no later than 01/03/15

I was extremely honored a couple of months back to be asked if I could help arrange a line up and help host Ironlak BBQ Burners San Diego to be held at Writerz Blok. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity as San Diego has been a bit slow on the number of events as of late and it’s something that I enjoy doing. Plus it was a great opportunity to get everyone out for a day of painting, music, and free BBQ! It took a while for us to get the date on the locked in on the calendar but with the help of Sergio from the Blok we got it done and the event took place August 16th, 2014. Some of the artists who painted that day include:
Pose 2 CBS
Sake 1 WST IBM
Unique Izzy WST
Arest WST Zone WST DazeRoc WST
Style TFL CBS
and Ewok MSK courtesy of Ironlak!
Overall, it was a great day of painting and BBQ with good people that will go down in San Diego Graffiti history. The Writerz Blok team of Sergio and Jose should be commended for their great work in hosting the event and managing the Ironlak paint and supplies for the artists. Also, a big thanks to DJ Kid Riz for bringing out the Turntables and Sound and in addition to lining up a few more DJ’s to keep it lively throughout the day. Lastyly, on behalf of Writerz Blok, the San Diego Hip Hop community, and all of the artists involved, and myself, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Ironlak for all of their support in helping bring BBQ Burners to San Diego!
Ebik reached out a couple of weeks back to let me know he was coming down with a friend to San Diego to paint and asked if I wanted to join. I was glad to be able to accept the offer as I felt I needed to paint something anyway to kick things off for 2014. So as usual, I didn’t really plan anything in the way of colors and I didn’t have a completed sketch but I figured those minor details could be ironed out on the spot. I arrived at the Writerz Blok around mid afternoon and we met by Ebik shortly thereafter. We picked a prime location on the first wall and went to work buffing our spots. Ebik knocked his outline off the dome quickly and picked a color scheme that I agreed to try and match to a certain extent. Having to return back to LA the same day, Ebik completed his piece. I on the other hand took my sweet time trying to maximize my scraps to put together a decent fill and had to come back 5 days later to complete my piece as the Blok was closed for 4 days. Overall, I was pleased with the outcome and was happly to get in a couple of much needed painting sessions. Thanks to Ebik for dragging me out! Check out his work and follow him at @ureye on Instagram.
